Some have described Dr. Betty Price as "timid" - but, when you speak with her, it is evident that she is far from being shy about her convictions, commitment to God, and unwavering love for her "man," Apostle Frederick K. C. Price. In fact, she is implacably forthright about these matters, and unapologetic about sharing her acquired wisdom.
"Soft-spoken"? Yes, she is. "Cautious with words"? Absolutely. "Timid"? No, she is not. One thing remains indisputable, however: Dr. Betty Price is powerful in all of her splendor.
The author of six books (Standing by God's Man; Through the Fire & Through the Water; Lifestyles of the Rich & Faithful; Wisdom From Above (Volumes 1 and 2); and A Warning to Ministers, Their Wives, and Mistresses), Dr. Betty has instructed millions of Christians in the areas of faith and family. With her husband, she founded the Crenshaw Christian Center in 1973 with approximately 300 members. The church membership has since grown to include over 25,000 congregants. The sanctuary, the "Faith Dome," seats nearly 10,000 people and is one of the largest domes in the world. "Ever Increasing Faith," the missionary outreach arm of Crenshaw Christian Center, reaches more than 15 million households each week, and airs in the largest radio and television markets throughout the United States. In 1990, Frederick K.C. Price and Dr. Betty launched the Fellowship of Inner-City Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM) to help inner-city ministries overcome the challenges they encounter. Today, Crenshaw Christian Center employs more than 150 people within 14 distinct divisions. In addition, Crenshaw Christian Center has instituted Frederick K.C. Price III Schools, which includes a preschool, elementary, middle, and high school. Most recently, the Prices established a church in Manhattan, New York, and a new ministry training school.

Dr. Betty Price was born Betty Ruth Scott in Gloster, Mississippi, and married Apostle Frederic K.C. Price at the age of 19. Now 76, she travels the world with the energy of a young woman, and imparts the wisdom that only age and experience can offer. Thought-provoking, inspirational, and a servant at heart, this woman has truly answered the call of Psalms 82:3-4: "Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." By doing so, she has spearheaded numerous ministerial projects, such as the "Big Sisters/Little Sisters" program; an alcohol/drug abuse and codependency ministry; a 24-hour intercessory prayer network; the Vermont Village Community Development Corporation (VVCDC); and the Community Outreach Program (COP), which distributes food and clothing to hundreds of recipients weekly.
Over the years, Dr. Betty’s humanitarian efforts have earned her numerous awards and commendations from local, state, and federal governments. Most recently, she received the “Woman of the Year” award from the Los Angeles County Commission for Women.
