HAVE YOU HEARD OF CLUB 33?

The waiting list for this high-priced club at Disneyland is up to fourteen years. Yes, folks wait a decade to schmooze with Mickey Mouse.

Daily, we wait for things that (in the grand scheme of life) aren’t important: Starbucks, the DMV, and Black Friday—to name a few. But when it comes to waiting on God, our patience often runs thin. Hastily, we settle for less or completely abandon a God-given dream. But “they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary” (Isaiah 40:31, KJV).

Prayer gives us the strength and courage to trust God’s timing. For it takes strength to resist what seems “good” and courage to wait for God’s best. The psalmist wrote, “Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14). Therefore, pray during this season of waiting, and trust that God’s best is worth the wait.
