It’s easy to trust God when everything is going well. After all, who wouldn’t have confidence in someone who gives them exactly what they want –– when they want it? But, the fact is, God doesn’t work that way! Instead, He gives us exactly what we need –– when He decides we’re ready for it.

In Isaiah 55:8, the Lord said, "My thoughts are not like your thoughts. Your ways are not like My ways” (New Century Version). Consequently, God doesn’t see our difficult circumstances like we do. He views our adversity as an opportunity to strengthen us, prove His power, and build our character.

If we sincerely have faith in God,
we must trust Him ... even when life gets tough.

Sometimes life is just hard, and other times we make our lives hard. But even when we do get ourselves into trouble, we can repent and have faith in God. He is willing to use every difficulty (even the ones that we create) to shape us during our darkest hour.
